Durango Winter Train

The Durango & Silverton winter train goes over halfway to Silverton and then returns back to Durango. A full day well spent. The turn around point is in Cascade Canyon, beyond there is 42 snow slide zones making it impassable during the winter

Distance: 52 miles roundtrip

The weather departing Durango was a beautiful sunny morning. All that changed at mid-day when we made the turn at Cascade Canyon to return. Winter was back. With overcast skies the return trip was shot in black and white.
